Enable IE compatibility mode in Edge

This will allow you to use winLIMS version 7 in Edge. Note that winLIMS version 8 does not require this setup. If using version 8 you can use Chrome or Firefox for best compatibility.

1. Go to Edge browser settings

  1. Click on three dots on the upper right corner of Edge browser screen.
  2. Click on settings.

2. Go to Default browser

  1. Click on Default Browser on the left panel.
  2. Under Internet Explorer Compatibility change to "Allow" the option "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode)"

3. Add URL links that are to open using IE compatibility mode

1. Use the Add button to add the URL link for the winLIMS version 7 web app that you need:

2. Click the Restart button.

Note there is an expiration date for each of the URL's. After 30 days your URL will open in normal Edge and you will have the option to open again in IE compatibility mode for another 30 days.

4. Open winLIMS version 7 in Edge.

1. Login as you normally do.

Note that there will be a message on the top of your screen informing you that you are in IE mode.
