How to Add a Sample to an Order
Samples which are imported utilizing JDE Work Order interface will be added to their associated orders. When samples need to be created manually, they must be added to an existing order. To log in an order follow tutorial: "How to Create a New Order", then use this tutorial to create a new sample.
1. Navigate to Order Manager
- Click to open Main Menu
- Click on "Sample Life Cycle"
- Click on "Orders"
- Click on "Orders QBE"
You can also utilize "browse Orders" to locate the order using a lot number. Refer to "How to Search Using QBE" and "How to Search using Browse" tutorials.
2. Find Order by Lot #
- Type in Lot #
- Click binoculars to execute the search
3. Add Sample to the Order
- Click on "Add New" button
- Type in number of sample to add
- Click "Ok"
3.1. Select Bulk Code
- Click [...] button to assign bulk code
- Start typing bulk into text box, you will notice as you continue to type bulk into the field, options will narrow.
- Click Select next to the bulk you would like to assign the sample
- Click on Calendar icon to open Calendar dialog
- Select Manufacturing Date
- Click Save button
Expiration date will automatically calculate after record is saved when you have shelf life defined on the bulk level.
4. Drill Down to Sample Manger
To define more sample specific details about the sample and populate analytical results, drill down into the sample manager view.
- Select the checkbox next to the sample for which to drill down
- Click on the magnifying glass
