How to Save "Log In" Credentials (Chrome-Browser)
This tutorial is specific to Chrome internet browser and will show you how to save your Log-In credentials within the browser. This will allow a much faster sign-in process and should only be used when a user has a dedicated computer or workstation.
Do not attempt to save your credentials first time you log-in with a temporary password. Only follow this tutorial after you have changed the temporary password from default assigned by system administrator.
1. Navigate to LIMS Page
- Type in username
- Type in password
- Click to select check box "Keep me logged in"
- Click on "Log In" button
2. Browser Prompt to Save Password
This menu will pop-up automatically with chrome browser (Version 80.....)
- Click on "Save"
Chrome browser has an option to sign into your "Google account" and then synchronize information with that account. This part of the set-up is outside of the scope of this tutorial, however if you perform this configuration then you can sign into your Chrome/Google account on a different computer and your LIMS credentials will be tied to the account.
3. Signing In with Saved Credentials
- Click into the "Username" text box
- Select saved user account from the drop down
- Press on the "Log In" button
