How to Update Sample Information
After a sample is added to an order, additional information can be added in the Manage Samples screen.
1. Locate Sample
Searching can be accomplished by utilizing Sample browse or Sample QBE. You can also drill down into the sample from the orders screen. Utilize searching tutorials: "How to Search Using QBE" and "How to Search Using Browse" to locate the order. Drill down into the Manage Samples screen.
2. Expand Additional Sections
- Click on arrow down to expand additional sections from the manage Samples screen
- Sample Descriptive sections contain additional text boxes that can be used to define your sample specific information.
3. Open Audit Info
- Expand the "Sample Descriptive" section
- Press on the "+" icon to open the Audit Info section
4. Auto Save Feature
Anytime additional information is populated into various text field, it will automatically save the values to the database, without using the save button.
As you navigate away from the cell you will see a green circle with a white checkbox as a visual cue that data was successfully saved to the database.
