How to Deactivate a User Account

When employees change their role and  no longer need LIMS, their account must be deactivated.  This tutorial will show how to deactivate user accounts.  User accounts should never be deleted because historic data will still contain reference to user names, thus it's useful to always have historic data reference an account in LIMS.

  1. Click on Main Menu Button
  2. Click on "Administration"
  3. Click on "Users"

2. Search for User Account

  1. If unable to see user name on the 1st page, search by typing in user name
  2. Click binoculars to execute search

3. Deactivate User Account

  1. Uncheck the check box under "Active" column

This user will not be able to access LIMS
