How to Search for Samples

This tutorial goes into detail on how to perform a simple search for a sample already in LIMS.

1.0  Find Sample

  1. Hold cursor over "Sample Manager"
  2. Click on "Find Sample"

  1. The smart search window can handle various data to search on including:  lot#, bulk code, JDE work Order number, Sample ID number.  Type in one of the mentioned as a search criteria
  2. Press on the "Smart Search" button to execute search

NOTE:  Depending on what you defined in step 1, the list of results will vary.  If you used a bulk code that means all the different lots under one bulk code will show and the list might be very long.  If you put in SampleID which are unique to every sample you would only get a few results back.

  1. Click on the check box next to the sample you want to open
  2. Click on the magnifying glass to open the sample
