Approving Pail Samples With Status "Warning"
Powder samples that store "target ranges" inside of the Internal High and Low LIMS fields have a high potential to be flagged with "WARNING" for spec status. Warning status means that results were outside of the Internal High and Low. Special precautions should be taken to ensure that these Pail samples are properly validated and approved. Not following these directions can cause incorrect calculation of averages in the Pseudo sample and incorrect information on the CoA.
1. Locate Pail Samples
- Hover curser over "Sample Manager"
- Click on "Find Sample (Work Orders, ETC...)
- Type in Lot Number/ Sample ID/ Bulk Code into the search box
- Press button to search
2. Select All Samples with "WARNING" Spec Status
- Select each sample which has a WARNING Spec Status by clicking the checkbox to the left of the Lot#
- Click magnifying glass to drill into the samples.
3. Locate Failing Parameter
- Within the sample expand the "Results" section
- The color of cell for failing parameter is highlighted in Orange.
- If unable to distiguish color difference use the column "Status" This column will have a number 2 next to the status which means that parameter fails 2nd limits.
4. Validate Failing Paramter
- Click on the checkbox next to failing parameter
- Press validation button
- After failing paramter is validated the sample will automatically approve.
- Move on to the next sample if applicable by using curser bar at the top. Perform steps 3 and 4 to all samples with failing paramters until they are all approved.
