How to use the Download to Excel by Product (Engineering Data Dump) Report

The quickest way to extract historical manufacturing data from the LIMS system is through the many Crystal Reports that are available to you on the http://labs website.

Go to http://labs/  in your web browser-  The SharePoint site contains all the links for accessing LIMS and Reports

Select the desired Regional Site to access reports specific to that business region.  In this Example we will use the Americas

  1. Reports are organized by physical location of the manufacturing site down the left hand side of each of the regional page.  (Some pages may have an additional section for WinLIMS Systems configured for testing Customer-submitted samples.)
  2. Click on the desired manufacturing location

Report Lists

Reports are further Organized and secured in separate folders.  You will not see the folders or reports that you do not have access to.

The Engineering Download will typically fall under one of the limited access folders

Look for a report named Download to Excel by product

Report Parameters

  1. Enter the desired product bulk code and the date range for which you want historical data.
  2. Click the Calendar Icon to open up the Calendar view and select the date(s)
  3. Click Submit to Generate the Report

The report is now generated, but the formatting in the browser is not very easy to read. To create a pdf document with the data you need, click the Export Button in the top left.

Select an Export Format

In the pop-up window that appears, select Adobe Format (PDF) from the drop down menu. Select the Button for All, and click OK. If you would like to export to Excel instead, select Excel option in the drop down menu.

You have generated your engineering report. To save this to your computer, click the save button in the window - and save it to your desktop or other directory for use.
