Generating a Pseudo Sample and CoA for Samples With Status "Warning"

When results fail internal specification status "WARNING" appears on the sample in LIMS.  In order to have pseudo sample correctly calculate averages for all Pail samples, user must make sure to validate every failing pail sample result prior to approving the sample.  Please see tutorial "Approving Pail Samples With Status "Warning""

1. Locate Pail Samples

  1. Hover curser over "Sample Manager"
  2. Click on "Find Sample (Work Orders, ETC...)
  1. Type in Lot Number into the search box
  2. Press button to search

2. Locate Most Recent Pail Import Sample

  1. Sort by "Entered On" column by clicking on the heading
  2. This will sort by this field and you can esily find which sample was imported last.

3. Open Most Recent Pail Import Sample

  1. Click on the checkbox next to the sample
  2. Click on the magnifying glass to drill into the sample

4. Generate a Pseudo Sample

  1. Hover curser over Duplicate icon
  2. Click on the "Create Pseudo Sample" radio button
  3. Click "OK"

5. Validate Failing Paramter

Since one paramter had a failing internal spec on all the pail samples it will also fail internal spec on the Pseudo sample.  This paramter needs to be validated prior to approval.

  1. Locate paramter by expanding "Results" section
  2. Parameter will be highlighted in orange.  You can also view the "Status" column which will contain "2" next to the status signifying failure of internal limits.
  3. Select this parameter by clicking the check box next to it.
  4. Validate this paramter

6. Approve Pseudo Sample

  1. Click to approve
  1. Since this sample fails internal specs it will require a Waiver ID.  In this case since no waiver needs to be applied you can enter today's date with your intials into this field
  2. Click on save button to finish approval

7. Review CoA

Refresh page by click on refresh button of your browser or by clicking on binocculars icon
