Creating an ODBC Connection for Alpha Taiwan and Alpha Singapore Macros
1. Open Up the Windows 7 Control Panel
Click on the drop down menu next to "View by:" in the upper right hand corner
2. Select either Large or Small Icons

When the Control Panel view changes, click "Data Sources (ODBC)"

Sometimes "Data Sources (ODBC)" can be found in the Administrative Tools section

Click add on this window to create a new ODBC connection

Fill out the fields as shown and click NEXT

- Click the second radio button to activate the Login ID and Password box.
- Enter the login ID as specified below. The password is "minitab123" without the quotation marks
- Click Next to Continue

- Click the check box to activate the drop down box and select the correct database
- For Alpha Taiwan and Alpha Singapore you want to select the alpha for Alpha Shenzhen products you want to select AShenzhen
- Click Next to proceed
8. Microsoft SQL Server DSN Configuration: Part 4 - Misc Options
Click Finish
9. ODBC Microsoft SQL Server Setup
Click the Test Data Source... button
10. SQL Server ODBC Data Source Test
If you receive the message shown below, you are finished.
