How to Turn on SPC Rules

This tutorial will provide instructions on how to properly set rules for parameters in the Sample Type in order to properly flag SPC failures.

1.0  Locate Necessary SampleType

  1. Hover cursor over "Administration"
  2. Hover cursor over "Sample Type"
  3. Click on "Update"
  4. In the "Bulk Code" text box type in the bulk code of the product which needs to have SPC rules turned on.
  5. Press the binoculars icon to search for the bulk code.
  6. Once the bulk code loads put the active Sampletype on hold by pressing the unapprove icon
  7. Expand "parameters and limits" section as shown above

NOTE: If you would like to set-up the same rules for all parameters in this SampleType please skip this step and proceed to #3.0

  1. Click the check box next to the parameter for which you need to set-up SPC rules
  2. Click on the "run chart" icon

  1. Click on the check box next to the rule you would like to be flagged for this individual parameter
  2. Click on the save button to save changes

NOTE: If you have already set-up rules for individual parameters please disregard this step.

  1. Click on the check box to select all parameters
  2. Click on the "run chart" icon

  1. Click on the check box next to the rule you would like to be flagged for all parameters
  2. Click on the save button to save changes

4.0  Approve the SampleType

Click on the thumbs up button to approve this sample

Sample Status will automatically change to "A" after approval is completed.
