Switching to Test Site

Any newly created or changed interface files between JDE and LIMS require testing prior to implementation in live site.  This tutorial will explain how to change LIMS to the test database which is used to verify updates or new setup

1. Access Region Appropriate LIMS site

  1. From main Sharepoint site select appropriate region.  (For this tutorial "Asia" region is selected)
  2. Click on the Web Client Access link
  3. Main Log-in Page

2. Log-In

Log-In
  1. Enter your "User Name" (1) the same one you use for regular site
  2. Enter your default password (2) the same one you use for regular site
  3. Check the "Keep me logged in" check box (3)
  4. Click on the "Log In" button (4)

After a successful login you will see this screen

Next Step is to configure your settings under My Profile Section.

  1. Click on "My Profile" in the left navigation panel

4. Change Connection String

  1. Click on the "Connection String" Drop Down

4.1. Save Changes

  1. From Dropdown menu select "ConnectionStringAlphaTest"
  2. Click on the "Save" icon to save your change

4.2. Refresh Screen

  1. Prior to moving to the next step, it's very important to refresh your browser.  This can be done by hitting the refresh button on your browser or just by clicking on the "Profile" Tab again.

4.3. Set Test Site

  1. Select Appropriate Site
  2. Save your changes by pressing the save icon

5. Verify Connection String & Site

Verify that you have "ConnectionStringAlphaTest" and Correct Site on the Home Page
