How to Deactivate a User Account
When an employee changes roles or leave the organization it is important to deactivate their LIMS user account.
We do not want to delete the account, because information in LIMS will still contain username stamps of the work done by that employee so the account has to be preserved for future reference and history.
1. Navigate to User Management
- Hover curser over "Application Configuration"
- Click on "Users"
2. Search for User Account
- Enter the name associated with user account
- Press Sherlock icon to search
You can perform the search using username, but if that is not known, try to search using last name, or first name, even part of the name can work.
3. Identify Active Checkbox
The "Active" checkbox is checked. To deactivate a user you simply uncheck this box.
When this checkbox is unchecked nobody will be able to sign into LIMS with that accounts credentials.
