This tutorial will show you how to remove duplicate products from a parent product sampletype in winLIMS or simply remove/obselete packaging sizes from a sampletype.  

The first step will be to pull up the sampletype of the parent product. go to  Sampletype > Update in the navigation menu.

Enter the sample type number that you want to edit into the Bulk Code field and hit the Binoculars icon to search for that sampletype.

For this tutorial, we will use ENTHONE PC-5710, or product code 124125

Once you search for a specific sampletype number, you should see the latest approved version of the sampletype. Note that the sampletype is in A status.  You will not need to reversion the sampletype to make this change. Market synonyms are a version independant table.

To access the Market Synonyms table, click on the double arrows next to the "Market Synonym" section text to expand that section.

Now you will see a list of the market synonyms of the product. It looks like this.

To delete a market synonym (package size or duplicate product) click on the check box next to the one you want to delete. Make sure that you are deleting the correct one.

Note that by selecting multiple checkboxes, you can delete multiple market synonyms at the same time.

Once you have selected the correct checkboxes, you can click the "X" button as shown to delete them.

Once you have delted the correcte market synonyms, your table will look like this.

Please note that you must confirm with the JDE team that it is also deleted on their end. Otherwise, when JDE updates winLIMS with new work orders, it will also update the market synonym tables.
