Revising an Existing Method

This tutorial will go over the steps needed to be taken when revising an existing method in WinLIMS.  This is usually required when new detection limits need to be set-up or any parameter name or description information needs to be changed.

Prior to revising a method consider which sample types use that method.  This is important because changing one method will eventually effect all the sample types that use that method.  Although the effect is not immediate because the sample types will refer to the older version, as you update those sample types you might use the most current version of the method, and it might result in a change visible on CoA.

Method Manger View might look slightly different site to site.  This is due to customization of what information the each site would like to track.  In general you will always be able to see the Name and Description fields.
