How to Print Sample Labels

Label printing is very robust in Version 8 LIMS and has the following new functions:

  • Print labels to a printer at another site
  • Only print labels for specific sample in an order
  • Print Up to 10 labels for one sample
  • Print labels for following order status: P, B, C, V, A

Using steps listed in tutorial: "How to Search in Order Manager" navigate to the appropriate Order.

If # of Labels field is left blank the report will be blank

  1. Define number of labels to print out (1-10)
  2. Select the sample ID for which to print labels (if needing to print for multiple samples, select multiple samples)
  3. Press Manual Even Button
  4. Select Printer
  5. Press to Fire Event

3. Previewing Labels - Prior to Printing

  1. Define number of labels needed for sample (1-10)
  2. Select the sample ID for which to preview labels (if needing to preview for multiple samples, select multiple samples)
  3. Click on Crystal Report button
  4. Click magnifying glass to preview
